After seeing a video review for MP-11 Starscream...

I no long can justify getting him. I have been debating it for some time and as a Starscream fan, would love to have it. Now that i've seen the side by side comparisions, for the money, not worth it. I mean, I dig a lot of what was remolded. The ability to not have the hip armour (though easy fix on the first MP Screamer) and the fact that his missles don't have to be detached when transforming. However, the size and lack of detail is what turns me off the most. For the price range, I feel like i'm gettinig a smaller product with shoulderpads, cape and crown. Nope, that's it exactly. Maybe he's in scale with the latest Optimus, I dunno never bought that either. I do however feel less inclined to put down almost 200.00 on this new version of Screamer. If Hasbro releases him without the crown and shouldpads and cape, I honestly wont mind...so long as he's not ridiculasly priced either.

Anyone else have similar thoughts?

Nope, he is the same size and less breakable, plus I really like the cape

MP-11 looks better and more dynamic to me.

I'm a starscream fan and MP-11 was worth it for me. Like brr-icy said, it is the same size. The colours, new head, no hip kibble, and coronation kit are all worthy upgrades.

The video shows the original MP Screamer to be much taller though. Unless maybe they had screamer attached to his clear peice to hold him up. Hmm...If he is the same size, I may have to re-re-re-reconsider.

It looks really nice but not different enough for me to upgrade. I feel that the original version of the mold is good enough for me. So, hey, more you you folks that want it.

I will be holding out for the Hasbro version (accessories or not) but I do agree with what many have said about the new head-sculpt not being as nice as previous releases.

He is exactly the same height as the original, modifications were made everywhere in the mould to make him more robot mode accurate.

Having the Hasbro G1 coloured one side by side with MP-11, in my mind there is a CLEAR winner with MP-11. Now, he does suffer a bit in Jet mode, but you either want a near perfect jet (original) or a near perfect Robot (MP-11)

Re: After seeing a video review for MP-11 Starscream...

Being a Starscream fan myself, there are enough changes and 'corrections' to this mold that merits my money, and I have all the original Takara MP seekers. I guess it all depends on your wallet. I like the original MP but I missed out on the G1 re-color. The MP-11 version seems much more sturdier and reminiscient of G1. My small complaint on MP-11 is that it doesn't come with a stand, but a minor detail. Plus, it's Starscream! With coronation gear worn for barely 2 minutes before he met his demise. At last the poor bastard got his crown. And never truly perished.
Buy it.
