Re: Repair Thread
Thanks Dak! I'll do some looking and thinking at it when I get home next week, and I'll try one of those. Probably the heating up method, it seems a little tight for a drill, and I know I have a soldering iron handy.
Darnit, just realized I'll have to do both pins! :-p

Re: Repair Thread
Hey Dak any tips on how to knock out the pins on MP Thundercracker to reverse the chest missile plates? I'm concerned with the usual method of knocking out the pin with a hammer and a screwdriver =(

I don't think you can without destroying the arm...

one of the uni prowls i have had that exact same problem.i was able to fix mine with a really simple solution.a drop of clear nail polish underneath, right where the hood and shoulder join together,it almost looks like a 4pronged cog.one drop there and one on the underside of his "elbow"whick is held in with a metal pin.hope that helps (make sure you move the part/shoulders and joints where you applied the clear nail polish about every 5 minutes until it hardens, otherwise it will get stuck.i learned that the hard way. )

Re: Repair Thread
Okay, update on my G1 scorponok, first pic shows the way his helmet is on my figure, the visor is rather clearly, upside down. It came this way original from the factory.
The second picture shows that apparently, it is indeed a pin that goes all the way through, contrary to my previous belief. The pinhole is, however, miniscule and at an angle that makes it difficult to work on.
Anyone think I should just leave it as is, rather than attempt to remove the pins and put the visor back properly?

Re: Repair Thread
I'll do my best to describe this (I don't have a camera handy at the moment):
I just picked up Universe 2.0 Starscream. Where the one wing rotates is super loose. When comparing it to the other side, it looks like the pin was not pushed in a ll the way. It basically will not stay up when transformed and begins to flop down.
I can't see anywhere to apply nail polish to tighten it up. I'm a little gun-shy of heating the pin to push it in further... but this might work the best (just difficult access).
What do you customizing brainiacs think?

Re: Repair Thread
Hmm...that's a tough one Jourdo. Might want to wait for someone with more experience than me.
Silly question: You say the pin isn't pushed in all the way, have you tried pushing it in the rest of the way without doing any heating or anything? Tapping on it with a screwdriver handle, that sort of thing, is usually the way I take out pins (no heating etc. in the g1 seekers I took apart) and you should be able to push the pin further in just by tapping...
