Re: 2012 TFCon Charity Project
I don't think I have one of those around here. I'll keep a look out, though. Thanks, Mal.

Re: 2012 TFCon Charity Project
Well, here's some quick pics. Will take some proper ones later.
EDIT: And here they are. Some minor chipping going on, but honestly nothing that surprises me, and nothing that visible in robot mode. (It's all at the really hard-to-sand spots mostly, anyway.)
If I get a chance, I'll paint up the minicon for his Cyberbee.

Re: 2012 TFCon Charity Project
Wow! That works WAY better than I was expecting! The head is what really sells it! Excellent work, bud. I was think that the only mold that may work for an Earth-mode Skorpy would be RiD Grimlock, but this really impressive.

Re: 2012 TFCon Charity Project
@g/t, that looks surprisingly good.is there a way to make it so the minicon/cyberbee attaches to his scoops/claws?

Re: 2012 TFCon Charity Project
Tarantulas is coming along. Got some colour on him and I also have a little arachnoid (his spider drones) planed, too.
I'm worried with how he may look, though, since I'm doing this one by hand. I don't think he'll be as clean as I'd like.

Re: 2012 TFCon Charity Project
Liking Scorponok! Can't wait to see everything else! I should have a 95% complete Waspinator to show by Saturday.
I am having a lot of trouble with the mask/face though... every attempt at using putty to sculpt has failed miserably. This is the last thing I will need to do. I got some nice ideas from General Tekno, which are easier to do than what I was doing, but the fail rate is the same...
Other than that though, I am extremely happy with how Waspy is turning out. I may need to add a bit more black detailing, but he has a very nice Wasp themed helicopter mode. I decided to make the Vehicle look more like a wasp than to match the colours with his robot mode, and that ended up working for BOTH modes!
