My guess is that Hasbro wants to grow their business outside of just toy stores and regular retail.

From wikipedia:
Toys R Us: 866 stores in the US.
Wal-Mart: 4612 stores in the US
Target: 1793 stores in the US

Walgreens: 8177 stores in the US

So there are more Walgreen stores than the big 3 combined in the states. That means a lot of places that have a WG that don't have any of the others.

I don't like it, especially if it means that Canada misses out (that remains to be seen), but it makes sense from Hasbro's point of view to entice WG to carry their products.

Wow, didn't realize Walgreen's had covered that much real estate across the country. That makes a lot of sense then from a market penetration perspective. More locations, more distribution, easier access for potential buyers.

The only place I can find that has pre order for Walgreen's Brainstorm is Robot Kingdom. They have it for $24.90US and $14.63US for shipping. The Takara Legends version is not exclusive so it should be available at your favourite Japanese Transformers stores.
