Do you remember... THE BOX?

Do you guys remember that band? I just found out they just re-issued their first 4 albums with bonus tracks last week. I got the one with "L'affaire Dumouthier" and the one with "Closer together". Good old stuff, they were pretty popular back then (and they're still around).

I remember 2 or 3 songs that played when i was kid. The band was ok in the 80's but must stay in the 80's.
It's not a bandwho pass through the years like Rush (for exemple) and continue to reach success.

They released a new album 2 years ago ("Black dog there"). Totally new sound for them. And they're releasing a new album sometimes near the end of the year or next year.

^ never heard of them, what kind of sound/band could they be compared to so i get an idea?

In the 80's the band was pop rock i don't know for now. If I remember the band was from MTL

The new sound is more prog (i'm not a big fan of progressive music except for some bands) and it's too smooth for me.

On the site therse's no sound clip from the past albums.

I don't think they own the rights to their first 4 albums anymore, that's why the lead singer said he was surprised to see them reissued 2 weeks ago. I like the new sound, reminds me a bit of later days Radiohead, but a tad more straightforward.

I only know one song from them and now I just found out they are Canadians...I'm livin' in a box lol
