What do you all think of TFC Prometheus

Hi Everyone,

What do you all think of TFC Prometheus, I have never owned TFC Products but heard this is so far the best one they have made. I know Hasbro and Maketoys will be bringing their own version. But this one does not look bad at all.

Let me know your thoughts?

I have the whole set. I will post a review up once the pictures have been completed. But from my initial impressions I like what I'm seeing so far.

Looks bad.

Maketoys>Hasbro with third party hand and feet add ons>TFC

I don't like TFC combiners in general; usually the colors are all over the place and they're not very stable. IDK if this one is any different. The individual bots leave something to be desired too. Personally I'm getting the HasTak one because I don't feel like shelling out the extra dosh for MT and I like the simpler transformations.

Is TFC the same as Unique Toys? I have Mania King, it's nothing special.

Re: What do you all think of TFC Prometheus

From someone who owns every third party combiner to date. I understand they're not perfect but the TFC's seem to always be my favorite I even prefer the look of ARES combined over Feral Rex. Feral rex is more solid but the look of them standing beside each other ARES wins every time in my book. I keep feral rex in his individual modes.

I also prefer Hercules over Giant because I'm less afraid to play with the individual modes.

I haven't combined Prometheus yet but I really like the individual modes. Just waiting on the last limb that should be here this week.

It has ok angles, it looks way sturdier than their previous releases.

Thought his face looks crazy creepy though. I like hasbros better though.

Personally just gonna wait for Guardia, maybe buy a Hasbro Hot Spot and Rook, possibly First Aid. Prometheus is the most expensive of the lot, unless MT goes nuts I guess. Seems like it should be the best looking in that case.

Everyone seems to have their own view here which is great. As I can see the pros and cons of the figure. I 100% agree about the HasTak one being the funnest of them all due to the easy transformation. Of course it looks the weakest to me. Guardia looks very nice but i guess not very G1 compared plus i do have Green Giant and love it but the individuals bots looks a bit small for the price they are asking for.

Longshot, I will wait for your review to decide.

Thanks for all the input.

Re: What do you all think of TFC Prometheus

Personally I like the look of it, however...

Given all the issues I've seen with the joints I'm not jumping at the bit to get him. If I could score the set for about $300 Canadian I might bite, but nothing more than that.

I've already bought and paid for the CW set, and I know I'll drop the cash on Guardia so to me, this set is irrelevant unless I see a spectacular price come my way. I really do like the look of the combined mode, but not enough for him to be my 'Sor of choice.
