Oooh! I know why now. In 5 years Hasbro is going to reissue the reissue as the "30th Anniversary g1 Optimus Prime with Original Smokestacks" so everybody has to buy the mold again because it's different... except it's the same. They know we're all addicted so we'll buy it
i just hope it gets released on the 1st week of december , i have a feeling it will go for $69 to $79
once again for sure there will be no dvd with it i guess it's with the US package only and the canadian package will only have the comic and peter cullen/ optimus prime voice box.
hopefully someone will post the actual release date and where it will be sold at and be up as front news page on cybertron.ca...... hopefully.

maybe hasbro wanted to cut cost and make more money..by cutting the short stacks..like replace stacks cost like i unno $10? so maybe hasbro is trying to save by cutting down the plastic they're using..HAHA

i ask my friend to buy me one, and its cost me 130 cad.he bought the fig for 69usd + the shipping fee for 15usd and i need to convert it in usdollar bcoz they dont accept cadollar.but its worth it, i got the dvd and the comics.the thing that i dont like it with this fig is the color, the color of this fig is light red. i was thinking that maybe the fig is really old that why the color is fading
I agree, anything higher than $69.99 CDN is a ripoff considering we don't get the DVD. By the way, are you talking about the iPod Prime released by Takara? I thought the head on that version was just a scaled down copy of from MP Prime.

Don't know when its gonna be released but I saw one on Sunday at the toy show @ the International Center in TO. He bought it in the states for 69.99. It looked cool however I'm not a fan of the colour of his trailer. Somehow it looks cheap IMO. But of course I'll end up buying it because it a Prime...damn Hasbro.
If you want the long smoke stacks re-issue just get one of the Japanese releases and there are zillion versions available already: Encore, iPod (2 difference colors + 1 fire red limited edition), Collection Series, New Year, etc. Hasbro will never sell the long smoke stacks version because of the child safety issue.
If I had to get another G1 Prime I'd rather has the show accurate head of the iPod version or the energon axe of the Collection Series instead of the voice box but that's just me
