It's certainly an advantage having it in town, where you can get around underground. Though in some weird way, the blizzard just made it all feel more festive.
I saw Prime figures, but not much that hasn't been shelfwarming the last few months anyway. Also, this show was heavy on the loose, second-hand stuff... there was still boxed new stuff, but not as much as other toycons.

Why didn't I find that Sludge!??
Who did you buy it from?

Seen enough of her shelfwarming at Toys R Us!

Oh, she was there... trust me. One seller had a small stack of boxed BH figures, featuring Arcee.

W.I.P.
I'm adding a paler green going on the center of the hood all the way to the back. Thinking of adding gold accent to the vents on the side.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread
Weirdest things for me from the Retro Expo:
1) So many (and I'm totally serious on that) people coming to my table and asking me for Power Rangers/Super Sentai and Kamen Rider stuff. I may need to re-think my strategy about what to sell next time.
2) A lot of people thought I ran/represented a store.
3) One guy was insanely excited to buy a bootleg anime-girl-PVC from me.
4) One guy was on the fence about buying MP Megatron (+ Justitoys upgrade kit) from me, and his wife spent 20 minutes standing next to him convincing him to get it. How many times has that ever happened to any of us? Fortunately for me, he caved.

"Sorry, I traded them all years ago to some guy in a Walmart parking lot in St-Hyacinthe."

Way to go buddy, you just broke up a marriage.
"Why did you convince me to buy this piece of shit!!!!"
MP Megatron, destroying marriages since 2007. Tyranny through matrimony.

Re: The Montreal/Quebec Local Fans Banter Thread
Some girl came up to my table near the end of the show:
Her: "So I was told that you sold Kamen Rider stuff here."
Me: "Yep, sorta. I didn't have much, though, but it all sold earlier in the day."
Her: "Arggggh. What did you have?"
Me: "A transforming disc animal, a couple of Super Imaginative Chogokins, a belt..."
Her: "A BELT?!??!... Arggggh. Which one?"
Me: "Just the Decade DecaDriver."
Her: "Nooooooooooooo! That's the one I needed to finish my cosplay!!!"
[a minute later]
Her: "I'm afraid to ask, but how much did you sell it for?"
Me: "$60 flat."
Her: "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Cheapest I've found online was $70+shipping!!!!!!"
