It's really hard to tell from that shot, but yes the leg looks thinner than if groove was attached. It would be neat if TAKs version was different, might mess up some collectors though.
Anyways Def looks good, bordering on fantastic, If I didn't have 3p's I would be buying him.

Just watched it. What don't you get? There's subtext to the very minimalist story, but that's not necessary to enjoy the movie.
It does help if you've seen at least one of the three previous movies in the series, but again, I don't think that's necessary.

Actually Road Warrior is the second movie in the series. Fury Road isn't a reboot. It's a continuation. The first movie in the series is called Mad Max. It was a more low budget affair. The previous three movies starred Mel Gibson.

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
I think I've watched the the First Mad Max, if not the whole movie. But I definitely remember the hacksaw, then BOOM!
I get the story, but then after a long day at work, watching all these crazy actions in 3D just fried my brain...

Maybe we will see reducd pricing?
I wonder if the price is set by hasbro, or walmart just cut their profit margins

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Seems like pretty standard practice for US retailers. They jack up the prices whenever a new line comes out and then 'mark it down' later on to make people feel like they're getting a good deal. It's just marketing.
Our problem is different, it's tied to the exchange rate with the US dollar. As long as our dollar has a crap exchange rate, we get hosed. Not that they'll lower prices if the dollar goes back up, but that's just typical corporate greed.

But it looks more like a rollback promo than a premanent price drop.

"The Road Warrior" is the best old film of the series, with "Beyond Thunderdome" coming a close second. Though I hear "Fury Road" is a modern masterpiece.

Then I'd say George Miller succeeded!
Conincidentally, the actor that played the main villain "The Toecutter" in the first film plays Immortan Joe in "Fury Road"

Re: BC Community Thread For Non-Sightings Chat
Well, that's unexpected. BBTS just filled my preorder for Leader Ultra Magnus. But considering it's $63.68 USD after shipping, I'm going to have to pass. Too bad, it's really tempting!

Do you care about the Minimus Ambus? I've preordered both Hasbro and TT versions...I want the Minimus Ambus from the Hasbro one but I like the TT Magnus' more accurate MTMTE season 1 paint apps. So I'll be selling the Hasbro UM sans the Minimus Ambus.
