Some of these fraudsters are pretty good at what they do. I have to give them credit for that. I do find it sad that people do fall for their tricks though.

Exactly. No one gets money for free. When we get stuff like that, where a member brings in a fake cheque with instructions to give money back to the sender, we normally hold them there and call the cops. When the cops show up, you can see by the look on their faces that they hate calls like this. Most likely because nothing much comes of it, or it's a lot of work for some petty theft. Kind of depressing scammers can keep operating.
