Trypticon Vs Gigastorm

Hey Cybertron.ca members, I have a question which I am hoping you can help with. I have wanted a Typticon for a while but am not sure on price. I can get one with no motor but then have to buy all the parts. When checking ebay I came across Gigastorm which is complete with box. By the time I get done it will all roughly average to the same price. There in lies my problem. If they come out to the same, which one is better to get?

Re: Trypticon Vs Gigastorm

Gigastorm doesn't come with all the accessories that Trypticon has, in fact all he does come with is the little car guy.
He also has a different head crest and a vastly different colour scheme.

If you really want a Trypticon I say hold out untill TFCon, you're bound to find one there, and for a better price.

Re: Trypticon Vs Gigastorm

In all honesty the cheapest one I saw complete was around $400 but that doesn't mean I saw all of what they had. What should be a good price for a Trypticon? One thing to add is I really am not worried about the box.

$400 is WAY over priced! The most I'd pay for him would be $200, and that would be pushing it.

Re: Trypticon Vs Gigastorm

Gigastorm also is lacking the mouth cannons that trip has you can find loose trips for 50.00 and up depending on what acc come with loose and if the motors are still in operation,.. gigastorm runs usally around the 179.00/200.00 boxed, not long ago, (2years in fact) it was selling boxed around 75.00 like most g1 repaints they are now climbing out of sight as G1 originals like fort max have become almost impossible to find resonably priced misb or mib complete and white (and also that they now fail the safety drop test etc means no reissue here... reason brave max has climbed to the 1000.00 mark) still some good tripticons to be found patience, and a continued search is the key

They're knock-off's.

Although there is an official Takara release Ebcore Devastator coming, or is already out.

The Encore Devastator box set has been released.

Don't know if these are good deals or not but there are 2 Gigastorm (Korean ver.) on eBay for under $200/ea.
