Maybe I am just going deaf, but I had a hell of a time understanding anything that was said by the dude with the oxygen mask. Very good teaser though. Just enough to make you want more.

I don't think they can. Dark Knight was just so killer all around. When it comes to comic book movies, I think it really depends on the strength of the villain. I've never found Bane to be compelling in any way shape or form. The Joker is going to be so hard to top. However, I do admit I liked the Dark Knight more and more on each subsequent viewing. When I originally saw it, I thought it was good, not great. Now I think it's great.

That being said, sign me up for opening night.

If they use him right, I can see it working though. He was Batman's intellectual and physical equal when first introduced. It could be a good match for a Nolan-Batman who is looking to redeem himself. I have faith that Nolan wouldn't pull a "Batman & Robin" Bane on us.

Yeah, I trust Nolan for sure. I think we'll see a more cerebral Bane. I'm really wondering what kind of overall plot we'll see. Both previous movies had villains attempt to destroy Gotham, and now we have the poster with the buildings crumbling. Should be interesting.
