CW Computron

I received CW Computron the other day a finally got a chance to mess with him tonight. He looks good standing straight up and down, raise one arm or try to pose him it's a different story. He really wants to lean forward. Put Scrounge on Strafe and its a lost cause! Seems way to top heavy. I noticed that the legs on lightspeed spread apart allowing the foot peg port to get loose thus allowing Computron to lean forward. Is everyone else's like this?, just mine? Is there a fix or should I try to exchange it for another one?

Re: CW Computron

I made a thread about the same thing when he was first released. http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showthread.php?t=65611

Mine leans forwards like he's drunk. I did two things to kind of help address this.

First, I put a crap load of nail polish on his hip ratchets. I couldn't take the bot apart, but I could access them by opening up Scattershot's chest.

Second, I put a weight between the nosecone and tail-fin on Computron's back.

Now he stands straight with Scrounge on his shoulder and supporting the PE add on kit's new chest piece and bigger rifle. I pegged the original rifle onto Computron's back.

In case you're wondering, the UW version has similar issues, but not quite as bad. But I think its stability has to do with it using the original dumpy combiner feet. Those feet are more stable.

Re: CW Computron

Isn't this all because Scattershot and Cyclonus are both still being made with the same shitty ratchets as Silverbolt? I remember Nonnef had been making some sturdier replacments but they are no longer available from him.... does anyone know where else someone can get a similar product through Shapeways or something like that?

Re: CW Computron

I though the parts from Nonnef were just for the Optimus/Motormaster mold. I'm curious if adding a stronger spring would help.

There's not much to see. It's clear nail polish on a ratchet, which looks pretty much like a ratchet without the nail polish.

Re: CW Computron

I had to find the right pose to get him straight. So far every CW figure except Menasor has a forward lean to them (at least for me) so I haind to find different poses to counter that action
