On topic I am with most pple here I personally am going to wait I had PS3 and 360 on day one and I got the Red ring (360) and i got the fan and laser crap out on PS3 and then I had to wait like 3-6 weeks for them to send me a replacement it was not a pleasant experience to say the least

I was lucky with my day one PS3 (just a little bit too loud) but not so much with my 360... in fact, I got 2 RRoD 360s.

I guess I will just pick up a XBox One at least I really want Forza.

I've got my ps4 paid for and can't wait for it!!

Playing and loving battlefield for and will upgrade it to ps4 on launch and picking up ghosts on monday night and will do the same

I'm not worried about any issues.

My ps3 was a first gen 60gig and still using it not.

My original 360 3 ringed me and microsofts customer support is the biggest fucking joke on the planet.

I have faith in sony and their customer service if theres any problems.

You get a 1 year warranty. And talking ti friends at eb games there won't be a restock of ps4's til mid 2014.

Tldr

If you have the cash and you know you'll be picking it up within the next year, I say get it now. There aren't any game changers coming out at launch but if you have PS+, you'll at least be able to enjoy some of those games in the interim.

It's definitely not a bad idea to wait but don't expect to get it cheaper on boxing day or even within the next year. The best that can happen is a bundle by end of next year but the consoles are soo hot now that I doubt very much they'll need to do a price drop anytime soon.

Same here, I'll wait. Still got a bunch of games to finish on x360 but eventually will get one when more titles get released.
