Is MP Rodimus Prime REALLY that expensive?
I keep seeing a 214.00 price range and I gotta say that while I really love what they did with him, is he really worth 200+ MP Megs without the orange cap didn't cost me that much.

.............did you see how much that toy has to offer even on a technical level. Yes, every penny worth.

That's because MP Megatron didn't come complete with all of his accessories, where as Rodimus Prime will be released with a few more goodies plus a fully transforming trailer.

Re: Is MP Rodimus Prime REALLY that expensive?
BBTS has him for 204.99. Time will tell if he is worth it.
I'm personal torn. I really want the trailer as it seems silly to not have it on the Hasbro Release, but if Grimlock is any indication, the actual toy will be way cheaper if it gets US release...

Information from Protoman in regards to anything Rodimus related is totally bias.
Just kidding.. You really have to see the amount of plastic there is, the integration of the gimmicks with the toy, and the designs that are involved within.
You had MP-04, and he was around $175 initially, i think... And he had a trailer. Now Takara already had that half of that mold so the other $75 was the plastic box. The same goes for Rodimus, except he's 100% new.

I can't justify the cost. Yes, he looks amazing and I'm sure he will be great. I had to choose between him or FP Protector. It really came down to cost.
I do really hope for a NA release.

Re: Is MP Rodimus Prime REALLY that expensive?
I think I'll wait for the NA release without the trailer.
I'll only ever have Rodimus on display and have the trailer in a Rubbermaid container in the closet...

Re: Is MP Rodimus Prime REALLY that expensive?
I personally think he's worth the $200. With all the accessories, the trailer and an MP figure that is both HotRod and Rodimus Prime, it's just a matter of saving up the money for me.
However if you have doubts that it is worth spending that kind of money on the figure and you are not concerned about having the trailer, then the Hasbro release is a very good option and will very likely be less than half the price.

Re: Is MP Rodimus Prime REALLY that expensive?
You guys could just wait till a Hasbro version is released.
Myself?
I think I'll be satisfied with just the Protector armour, but I'll wait for reviews to pop up...I'll more then likely buy him at TFcon 2011.

Re: Is MP Rodimus Prime REALLY that expensive?
As much as I would love a few more masterpieces (only have grimlock), I could not bring myself to buy this... considering i could by myself a wii for that price!
That's the life of a student budget
Here's to hoping the NA release is comparable in price to Grimlock.
