Nice lady at CS said that as long as the item is on the site there is a shot for restocks. Once it's taken down that mean they have confirmed they are out of stock.


After my nightmare trying to check out I'm still offering $100 for the MTG planeswalker set if anyone could grab it on a restock.

It is freaking insane! I checked at around 11:00pm, and then go back to the HTS site around 12pm, and then everything is already sold out I really want that deadpool corp set....

After much comparison or checkout times on TFW2005 it seem they went live at 3:27pm EST, everything good was gone in under 10 minutes.

Even being on the ball wasn't a guarantee. I saw it go live but the HTS site doesn't like some iPhones so I rushed to the computer, after logging in it wouldn't let me switch to my US shipping address no matter what I tryed (and I Pre set it as a secondary shipping location) finally I gave up and was going to pay the extra $25 shipping and import costs. Got a "session timed out". Went to try again and it was sold out.

My girlfriend who was with me logged on (no account) and got one just fine. Seeing how much trouble I was having she placed a second order for me (she wants the set too) great right? No. Turns out HTS tends to cancel duplicate orders for sdcc stuff. After an hour and a half with a very nice lady at CS she agreed to flag the orders so that they wouldn't get canceled but she couldn't guarantee anything and I will know for sure when I get a shipping notice.

I'm checked the Magic set out after you put a bounty on it, and wow. It be crazy, why is it going for more than a metroplex?

It's WOTC. They have consistently produced product in insufficient quantitys. In this case they took highly desirable cards and made them con exclusive, add that to the fact that they are black on black foil (never done before). Even foils of the regular art cards from the packs would go for roughly $120 a set. So at $59 it's a steal at $100 it's worth it for me. Above that... Not so much. It's a pain when you collect foil planeswalkers (like I do)

Specifically for this release it was the first time they did a SDCC exclusive and it was a monumental screw up on the con floor.

Magic players also like to have 4 of any give card for decks.

So yes it was a mess.

I'd still love to get a set but fate seems to be working against me. At least I'll be able to see one when my girl gets hers.

This is going to be a shot in the dark... anyone seen any vintage slot car stuff anywhere recently, including the Vancouver Flea Market? I'm specifically looking for old or new HO Scale Aurora/AFX stuff. For new I'd just like to know what stores stock parts and cars if there are any, and for vintage I'm looking to repurchase stuff I had as a kid that's now long gone.

I'm even willing to look at places like Value Village if anyone happens to notice anything, sometimes people get rid of stuff in great condition or it just needs a little TLC.
