CHEAPEST Reliable PLACE TO PRE-ORDER FROM?

just wondering where is the cheapest (reliable)
place to pre-order from?

I hear there are some asian sites out there, but don't know the names.

also would be helpful to know if they charge the card right away or when it ships, and your experience on being charged "customs charges".

I used to go with chimungmung exclusively but the exchange rate is not good at the moment. Pretty much the same price as slayback when you factor in shipping and in many cases more. Might as well save money and support local. I moved my 3rd Party purchases to slayback including Apollyon. You are close enough to him for local pick up or meet up at the quarterly shows. Payment is due when in stock. I've got all the upcoming Fans Toys stuff preordered with him too.

Anything Takara MP is preordered direct from Japan, either from Nippon-Yasan or HLJ. I've used both and both are reliable. Both also have an easy website user experience including ordering, billing, tracking. N-Y is my first choice but HLJ impressed me recently too. Never had customs from either. Again, payment due when in stock.

I'm surprised for Takara stuff, no one mentioned Amiami. Maybe becuz it's always such a race to get the popular stuff. Hobby Search is another option as well.

HLJ is excellent. I buy all my Transformer Masterpiece and Legends figures from them. They offer very good prices if you pre-order early. Make sure to select SAL or SAL Registered as the shipping option if you want to avoid paying duties. They are slower than EMS and FedEx but you are saving a lot of money in handling fees and taxes if you don't need your toys ASAP.

Actually the only time you're guaranteed to get ding'd on duty is with FedEx.

EMS - almost never, about the same chance as SAL.
