If anything I'd expect the price to go up. You have basically an MP 10, a fully transformable trailer, and then whatever accessories Takara plans to shove in there as well.
He'll likely come with a Matrix. I can't think of anything else "Ultra Magnus-y" accessory wise. Maybe a birthday hat & cake?

I'll make a far flung prediction that Hasbro MP-05 Ultra Magnus will hit TRU shelves by mid 2015.

Its possible Hasbro could capitalize on the Mp-10 mold and simply add the trailer = Big profits for them. Buut Mp releases are like shots in the dark with them....
I have been waiting for this since the teaser pic!!!! I will get it but for the love of god LOWER THAT PRICE! I feel like im being scalped by Takara himself

^^ Yeah, as much as I'm glad about this news I can imagine that the e-tailers will do a bit of a dance before the price becomes firm.
Robotkingdom is the new metric that will keep the other e-tailers Pencils sharp, so I will be doing my best to wait and see where they land before pre-ordering.

This was pretty much the major reason why they redesigned Masterpiece Optimus Prime and shrank him.
I'll bet there are some tiny strange sculpt oddities nobody noticed on Prime that were designed with Magnus in mind.

Eagerly rubbing my hands together, but the price is a sticker for sure. BBTS has it for $279 USD but if there is a bigger price difference with Robot Kingdom than I'm all over it.
