Automorph or classic???

I've spoke to quite a few people whether Automorph was better or worse that a traditional transformation

Myself, i am not a fan of automorph because it can get in the way of transforming it especially if you don't know what automorphs and what doesn't. Kinda annoying.

What do you guys think???

I like the automorph feature but the first time you transform one it can be a little awkward. I can also easily imagine kids forcing parts against the automorph action and causing damage.

Re: Automorph or classic???

I have not really liked the automorph feature but I havn't seen every toy. The one I like the most was on the movie Jazz, basicly popping his head up at the end of the transformation, similar to the Wreckage. I havn't figured out what Ironhides automorph even is yet and Barricade's shooting arm adds nothing to the toy. Can't say I've noticed one for Brawl either, I'm sure they have something but I didn't see it.

Re: Automorph or classic???

yeah my vote is for classic too. A few of the movie figures' automorphs I like, but on the whole they take away and frustrate more than they give and please (and they will make the figs wear out much quicker). The ones I do like are 77BB, Ironhide's legs, 08BB's legs, starscream's torso, oh and leader prime's feet, those rock.

Re: Automorph or classic???

I'm voting classic but agree with Dak out of all the gimmicks it is the best. Cyber key's sucked because they needed the huge port for the key to insert, second one key worked on every figure....what kind of key is that?! At least make the end different per planet. Powerlink would be my second favourite mainly because it brought back the combiners. Mini-cons were cool (though the name implies they're Decepticons....) but the pegs that stuck out on the figures made the robots look weird and sometimes a minicon was needed to fire a missle....how exactly did they fight without the mini-cons on them before? PSP's favourite automorphs are pretty much the same as mine though I like the one on leader Prime's chest (would like it more if his eye's glowed blue and had the transformation sound instead of a blasting noise).

Re: Automorph or classic???

Classic but the automorph is really cool on some figures like Leader Prime, 08 BB's legs, Starscream, and Ironhide.

Re: Automorph or classic???

I like automorph, but not necessary to have on all the figures. As mentioned BB08's and IronHides Legs are pretty damn well engineered

I think Brawls AM is when the chest plate comes down the tank treads move up to his shoulders.

Iron Hides is his legs, but if you mean ratchet I think it's the little rectangular pieces on his lower legs that pop out a teeny bit.
