Which class is your preference to collect?

Now i know alot of you out there collect like EVERYTHING released.. so this doesnt completely work for you guys :P But say for people like me, who love to collect and would get all if they could, but are on a very limited budget..

What class do you primarily focus on collecting?



For myself, i tend to collect Deluxe class. I mean, really in the end it comes down to $$ for me. Do i love the voyager or higher class ones? Hell yes, bigger, more detail, etc. But when you compare prices, of $30 for a voyager, vs when deluxes are on sale right now at walmart for $10, you can get 3 deluxes for the price of one voyager... quantity over quality? At least deluxes are still usualy pretty detailed and decent.. when you go scout you often start getting some limited transformations.
That being said, im not adversed to buying other classes when they are on sale.. got like ALL the Universe voyagers with the $10 sale back, plus some clearances elsewhere.. $15 wreckgar recently, etc.

I'm glad that most have been Deluxes (at least lately) because I do find the Voyagers a little pricey when not on sale. So, for me it's nice to have the bulk come in the Deluxe class.

The Deluxes seem to be the best of both worlds when it comes to price vs detail. But I do like the scouts a lot. And I just love the lot of Spychangers I grabbed a couple weeks ago. Even though they have pretty much two step transformations they are about Scout size.

I stick to Deluxe & Masterpiece Class. But sometimes, if the figure is really nice I'll go for a Voyager. I even went for a Scout Class this year (Breacher). I have two glass units & If I purchase a new figure I have to sell one from the unit coz they are almost full. So I'm picky when it comes to purchasing new TF's. It's money & space for me.
I don't touch the movie line because for me, It has nothing to do with my memories of the transformers from when I was a kid... I don't even touch the G1's because they feel like a "brick" and the newer ones have more joints for poseability. So right there, it eliminates a lot but I'm really into the Classics, Henkei, Generations and Animated (for my son) line.

I use to buy everything when it came to Star wars but I ended up selling everything except my original figurines from EP: 4-5-6. So I learned from my mistakes...

Overall, I would have to say the deluxe class if my favorite to collect... although I do have the Pokemon attitude at times.

i like them all, but i'm glad there haven't been a whole lot of voyagers and above to get recently

I'm the same as digitalskull. I'm sure lots of ppl out there are which is why Classics toys are in such high demand

I usually buy the Deluxe class,but I prefer Voyagers to be displayed in my collection.

I really like MasterPiece and Leader class the best. I find they are the most accurate to the original theme they belong to, probably because they have more work and detail put into them, thus the worst part, being more expensive ! Oh well, they're worth it !

If they made all the G1 season 1/2 characters as MP and released 5 every year, i would've stuck to MPs
