Re: Looking for G1 Trypticon parts

I have never seen it for anywhere near this low but there's a 'buy it now' on Ebay for $20:

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Trypticon-Gig...item56732e986d

It doesn't state anywhere that it's a knockoff.

Re: Looking for G1 Trypticon parts

I completed my trypticon piece by piece because I got it for very cheap with half the parts a long time ago. The connectors cost me 30 and they add no enjoyment to the toy go me so unless you are a completionist don't buy them. Full tilts gun I don't even wanna tslk about that. I got it for relatively low but Still that hurt. Anyways my point is for anyone wanting to get trypticon now do NOT try to piece it together. It's cheaper if you buy a complete one and then you sell off your doubles.

And yeah full tilts gun has no copyright or any other way to identify it's real or not that I know. There are companies that make repros of it like that and jetfires gun clip. Obviously that one is a fake. Probably cost a dollar to make too.

How do you know it's a fake?
The only difference I see with this one is it's not partially translucent, it's a solid piece of plastic. Normally you can almost see through the tips of Full Tilt's gun.

For anyone looking to get parts much cheaper, when I was funding my collection I did it through www.ebay.co.uk. Prices haven't gone as wild over there and shipping used to be around $2 per part, though it has jumped dramatically in the last few years. I actually got Tull Tilt's gun from www.ebay.nl (Netherlands) and had to translate the Dutch using Google Translate in order to bid on it. Got it for $52 CAD shipped.

I'm pretty sure he is right with it being a fake. I looked at the "stamp" on the pic and it appears to be a company that does repro parts but don't seem to have much on their site. Interesting alternative though

Re: Looking for G1 Trypticon parts

@sir prime a lot,that sale you linked is a k/o.
besides the "transrepro" stamped on the pic,the plastic is wrong.
the original has almost like a creamy metallic swirl to it,like the rest of his silver accessories,not the solid grey pictured in the link.
