dollarama has small strings of led lights meant to wrap around your patio umbrella.these two dollar sets are easily retrofitted for bashing and they run on two double a batteries and even has a switch included.this is what i used to light up the custom classics skylynx i recently did.
they're usually in the outdoor/camping/bar-b-q isles or where all the flashlights/lanterns are.
you could even be more frugal and get a bigger bang for your buck by going to value village.
a decent bag of "donor" toys for bashing usually will run you from 1.99 to 3.99.
you get leds, you get switches, you get bash kibble/odds and sods and you even get tiny machine screws.
just take your time and inspect every single bag and what's actually inside.
yeah head at value village checked out some used toys .. lots of potential..
You can always try Sayal electronics at Woodbine and 14th in Markham. They have quite a selection. I also used to go to Active Surplus downtown, as they often had lots of useful spare electronic parts.
