Repaints & Minor Mods WST Arcee, Thugger twins (WFC Rumble/Frenzy), TF Con Stronghold

Hey guys,

Trying to beat the January Blues with some customs...and it works! Had a huge amount of fun finally getting to some dusty, shelf-warming light customs that I should have done ages ago.

First up, WST Arcee. This is a garage kit from Ebay. Not sure why the paint apps don't look great on Camera, in person, the uneveness doesn't show.




She's insanely small...smaller than WST Hot Rod!!!



Wonderfully sculpted, even transforms!

Okay, next up we have the Shapeways Thugger Twins. I really wish I'd had built these soon...they are EPIC.

Yep, they actually transform!



Closeup...these guys are insanely small. Painting was, um, tricky to say the least.



There is still a bit of debris in the joints from the direct manufacturing process...it's hard to clean and again, doesn't show as much in person as it does with the camera. I keep cleaning them with a toothbrush, lolzzz....

Okay, last up is my TF Con Stronghold. Lots of rubbing alcohol to remove the gold paint. Looks WAY better this way and I'm really happy with the figure. Great job, TF Con crew!!!

Actually, pretty sturdy given how dainty she is...and sturdier than the Thugger Twins. She appears to be made of cast Urethane similar to Renderform parts, and I had to handle the figure a lot to paint it...no issues with breakage. I was careful, but I didn't feel like she'd break any second compared to the Thuggers...
