Recommended shelves

Bought and assembled these and am very pleased, so thought I'd pass along the recommendation.

These are plastic, no-tools-assembly shelving units that I've found pretty good for TFs.

Pros:

- CHEAP. I bought these from Lowe's (yes in Canada) at reg price of $14.98 each.

- 4 shelves, good sizes, and 360 degree visibility.

- shelves are solid topped, no holes/slits/etc. Flat, solid plastic surface so nothing falls through or stands unevenly.

- Flexbility in assembly - I did 2 units as the normal 4 shelvers (pic 1), 2 units as three-shelvers to sit under other shelves, and 1 unit as a 2-shelver. That's 5 units out of 4 purchased (turned 2 into 3 smaller units).

- Come in white and black.

- Come nearly flat packed, you can buy these and throw them in your car trunk with no problems. About the size of a double-wide briefcase unassembled.

- Light weight - very easy to move around.

- Sturdy: give them a good push down on each corner when assembling and there's almost no wobble if you shake them. They sit really solid even on carpet. I trust my G1 Scorp and Metroplex on the top shelves.

- Made in America: nice to support our Yankee neighbors and the quality is solid. No stinky plastic either.

Pics:

(don't be fooled by the slight fisheye in the shot, these sit flush and flat to each other. That's WFC deluxe Prime on there for scale)

Re: Recommended shelves

LOL @ Disclaimer.

These shelves look a little utilitarian, but in the right type of room they would be fine.

I prefer enclosed myself, to keep them away from dust!

Re: Recommended shelves

I've never been a fan of the round pegs, and I'm not crazy about the extra detailing on the front of the shelves either, but they're still very nice for the price. Thanks for sharing.

Re: Recommended shelves

They look similar to ones I've gotten fro Walmart in the past. When they were on sale you could get them for $12.98 usually.

Re: Recommended shelves

So, is WFC Optimus now our official "shelf scale" tester?
