Lowballing is a fact of life on Kijiji. Not matter what you write about it people still do it because they think it doesn't hurt to ask.
I just ignore them, that's just the easiest thing to do in most cases. I had one guy who made me laugh because he not only lowballed me on an item, but he did it twice for the same item in a couple of days. The best was he wrote:
"$25 for XXXX and I can pick it up today" like I am going to bite because he can pick it up today. It didn't work the first time, but I guess he figured a second time would work.
Another fun one was a guy asked about a lot of GI Joe figures I was selling. He agreed to the price and asked to meet. We set up a date and time, exchanged numbers, and when the time came....nothing. I have learned from past experience not to bother trying to reach the person. If they don't communicate then too bad. So I moved on to another buyer. Sure enough a week later I get an email saying he was still interested. No apology, no hey this thing came up. Just let's get this done now. I didn't even bother to respond and he kept emailing me for a couple of days until he obviously got the message. You don't communicate, don't expect it in return.
