Bull Shit Transactions? Anyone else suffer from this?

On another forum. I started a transaction back in December of 2012. Due to some money issues. I wasn't able to finish paying for all the items he had put aside. However, we did come to an agreement that he would keep all the money.

What he would do is finish a list off of all the goods he had for sale. Plus a value. That way I could pick from them plus the cost of shipping. Equallying the 140 I had sent. Well every few weeks or in one case a couple of months past. I would send a reminder. He would reply and promise to give the list. Nothing.

So today I started a thread on that general ____ forum. That got his attention. Yet he says its uncalled for, though he's been bullshitting me for nearly 6 months.

Just wanted to vent in a more friendly community that I know.

Sad part is, the guy is very nice. Just makes me wonder if maybe a bit absent minded.

So anyone else deal with this type of bull shit?

For the most part all of my online transactions have worked out alright, but for the few that haven't, I've just taken em as both a cost of doing business & reward of a learning experience.

Ripped off by a customizer called dark cave customs. Asshole went off the boards and ripped off tons of other members. Will never commission another thing again.

I remember seeing him pop up from time to time. Never even realized that he dropped off.

If you ever buy from anyone, get as much info you can about them (full name, email, phone, etc if possible) and keep all your messages as proof

if a forum member i just started talking to asked for all that info, i'd probably drop the deal right there, lol. would be kinda creepy. check their feedback, and keep the deals within the 45 day window of paypal. don't let it go over unless they're friends

i've had a couple bad experiences, but nothing major, had someone rip me off, then when tfcon was doing the powered commander, pay me back and ask me to get one for them...it was two years since they had scammed me, i didn't but was kind of dumbfounded by that

After having several transactions on TFW and here, the only poor transaction was with FrenzyRumble. I commissioned stuff from him a few years ago and after paying the deposit, I never got any sort of update from him. Even now he ignores my emails about my refund despite him agreeing to pay me back. Lesson learned.

I type faster than I think sometimes (which is technically impossible but whatever)


I meant get all the personal info after payment (get full name and email before you pay though)

Also, if you sent your payment as a gift with Paypal, you're kind of screwed as a buyer but you save on some fees (which I'm not sure it's worth it sometimes)
