Re: Profile Reasons
Ha, this is fun.
Back at the end of highschool/early University years, I started getting back into Starwars (and Lucas reissued the movies) and I love the "Echo Base" bit...when I started playing Lucasarts Tie Fighter and Wing Commander I always had my name simply as "Echo". This carried forth into Doom, Quake and even simracing...I always called myself "Echo". So now I simply add the interest after Echo--for TF Communities (and Ebay) I'm Echotransformer and for racing stuff I'm "Echocarver" and for the porn community I'm...never mind.

Re: Profile Reasons
Normally, my username online has always been "Tidalwave". However, upon getting back into TFs 5-6 years ago, I realized that there was a TF (in Armada) called Tidalwave. Not wanting to have people think I picked my name from him (even though I've been using that online handle for about 15 years now), I opted for FreedomGundam, which was (and still is among) one of my favorite Gundams from recent series.
So I'm "FreedomGundam" (or "Fr33domGundam" on TFW; for some reason, the system wouldn't let me register "FreedomGundam" even though it was unused) on toy-related forums (since the communities across those are usually somewhat connected in one way or another), but I'm "Tidalwave" on modeling forums and pretty much everywhere else.

Re: Profile Reasons
Jove is actually a riff on my initials of my actual name, I use it a lot for forums, definitely not TF related.
I got back into TFs out of nostalgia for my childhood and the "cool" toys that we had - hence the title.
The profile pic is a bit random (It's God from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, in case there is someone who hasn't seen the movie). I just thought that it was a funny bit from the movie - not TF related. Although it somewhat fits with my user name since Jove was another name for the Roman God Jupiter (Zeus).
Now that I type that out, it seems a bit self-important for an avatar. If I wasn't such a lazy bastard I'd change it.

Re: Profile Reasons
1) Predaking is awesome & when I joined TFW the name was taken. I looked around my computer room for some thing to use & I saw my comp case (NZXT Nemesis Elite case, google it) I have the HDD light hooked up to the front faceplate & "Nemesis" flashes whenever the HDD is in use.
The rest is history.
2) I always where sunglasses (check my YT channel), it's just a thing I've always done. I also pretty much where hoodies all the time & I use to paint all the 4x4's at my former work place. It just seemed to fit.
3) Simply put, for the last 3 years. I have come in one place behind Chansformer at TFCon in the customs contest. The past 2 years he had won 1st.
He's a MACHINE !!!

So the name Nemesis pre-dates the whole black optimus thing? That's rad.

Re: Profile Reasons
I chose Stapler because that's what I saw on the desk when I was trying to think up a name.
I chose Bubbleman as my pic because he's always been a fave of mine since I was a kid. Not TF related, but I could grasp at straws and say that voyager Seaspray should be repainted in his colours as an homage to one of the greatest games ever made.
As for my quote, I was just very excited that Megaman finally returned to his 8-bit roots with MM9 at the time. Not TF related, though.

I joined TFW in Feb 07. I don't think it pre-dates it.
At the time I was unaware of the whole "Nemesis/Black prime" thing.
