I guess in the name of G1 accuracy, they painted black lines on the spines of the deluxe jets to simulate the armatures on the G1 toys, even though the new figures don't transform that way? That seems slavish to the point of silliness.

What they did with Drag Strip is even more hilarious; they painted his shoulders black just so it could mimic the extra two wheels that aren't there on the CW toy. I find it kind of charming in a really weird way.
