The title characters are going to be treated as actual characters now? What a novel concept!

If Bay is directing again all the robots will just explode at some point anyways.

I'll believe it when I see it. They say the same thing before every movie that's come out so far and every time they spend more time on Joe Aspergers than all the Transformers combined.

Reminds me of what David Hasslehoff said when he saved Baywatch from cancellation. He said something to the effect, "We're going to go back to the basics of what Baywatch is, and that's a show about saving lives."

Hahaha... more like a show about saving boners and boobjobs.

As for Transformers. I'll believe it when I see it. I mean Mudflap and Skids were real characters, just not good ones or ones with depth.

Jar-Jar was a real character too. Real piece of crap.

Not to take jabs at the reporter, but when you say, " Transformers: Age of Extinction, contained notably more robot characterization than the previous entries," that's like saying sewage treatment plant 1 contained slightly less crap than sewer treatment plant 2.

I'm interested to see this play out. Don't get me wrong, I would rather they let the movies die off and reboot them into something better ten years from now but I'll take what I get.

I thought one of the better aspects of Age of Extinction was how much character we got to see from Lockdown - It really stood out because we had seen so little personality from the villains in 2 & 3.

Even a character like Starscream, who should just be oozing personality, was a bit light in those other films.
