Re: Transformers Legacy Cloudcover Released in Canada

Wondering if anyone has any issues with their cloudcover? Both copies I had an issue with the right arm, it won't fold down flush in alt mode and requires a lot of force in general to fold. Left arm is completely fine.

Seems like this is a common issue based on postings on another thread.

If anyone has an extra copy in the GTA let me know. tks

Found one in Milton location, I was able to test the arm tightness without opening up the figure before I bought it. I guess the only benefit to windowless packaging.

Yeah saw one yesterday at Bayshore Walmart, along with Jazz and Laser Cycle. No sign of the other deluxes or Toxitron.

Re: Transformers Legacy Cloudcover Released in Canada

There is indeed a flaw in cloudcover's right arm. Left if he is facing you. Look at the left arm and notice how where the top of his shoulder joint (where the fold hinge for the transformation is) and you will notice it has a slight angle to it. Now look at the right arm in the same place and see how squared off it is. This is very minor to an untrained eye. I took an x-acto knife and copied the angle on the left side of the body where that good joint is. It's still hard to fold but it now lines up perfectly.

I'll try posting a picture after work.

My copy has the same issue, it was a bit tough to snap the chest closed when going to alt mode, specifically on his right arm's side, latch was difficult to keep shut

Here is what I was talking about.

https://www.flickr.com/photos/199122...posted-public/ (right arm corrected)

https://www.flickr.com/photos/199122...posted-public/ (left arm stock)

https://www.flickr.com/photos/199122...posted-public/ (this used to be squared off. You can see the cut mark and angle)

Re: Transformers Legacy Cloudcover Released in Canada

Actually I just checked my dirge and both his arms side's are squared off... It's weird that cutting away that piece made it lay flat for plane mode on cloudcover. Maybe he was cast from a prototype mold instead of the one used for all the other seekers... As those molds could have produced loose figures as much as it has been used.

I remember having similar issues with one of the other repaints, Sandstorm or G2 Ramjet. I can't remember which one.
