Quite the contrary. I just find it really funny when someone calls the kettle black and want to see how long they can do so before seeing their own reflection.

Less appealing? Judged by who? You? What are these criteria? You never seem to want to get into specifics? Why is that? What makes Lambor > than Tracks?

No you are right that this is about cognitive dissonance. It's about you, in this thread and others, wanting to hate on Tracks, Ironhide, Ratchet, Hotrod, Laserwave, and expecting everyone else to come along and drink the hater-aid.
When not everyone does, instead of chalking it up to taste, you try to justify your stance by setting it up as being objective, that Tracks and the others are objectively bad toys, and you are the objective champion. The poor misunderstood and unheard champion.
This allows you to place those who disagree in the realm of falling under the magic spell of hype, thus allowing you to "reduce the importance of the cognitions", meaning our opinions don't matter because we've been brainwashed by Takara.
How about them apples? Taste like cognitive dissonance to me.
TL;DR? I think this cognitive dissonance can be summed up by a age old phrase. He who smelt it dealt it.

Yeah, the first bunch have been released, and all the others, with the exception of Tracks, haven't. And Tracks hasn't reached the wider audience yet. So pretty much nobody has them in hand.
And you do realize that "Loved by almost anyone" can mean pretty much the same as "love 'em or hate 'em" , right?
You just said some people love them and some people don't for both groups.
