Out of nowhere a week ago, Maketoys contacted me and said they are sending replacement hip parts. I got them and made the swap and now my Starscream is whole again.
Besides my case of the hip joint breaking, these replacement parts are suppose to fix the "scratch marks" that are present on all copies. His right hip is now scratch free, but his left hip is improved but not as good as it could be:
As you can see the marks are still there, but just less of it.
Do I care? No. I'm just glad my boy is walking again.
