At least there will be a new head mold. Shouldn't complain too much. Looks pretty nice too I'm glad they finally figured out we need a new Classic/Universe/Generation/whatever Wheeljack.

Also anyone else notice that Tracks hand gun is now the shoulder rocket for WJ (when I saw the gun on Tracks I thought it looks more like WJ's shoulder launcher then a gun)

Very happy to see a pic of Wheeljack and very very happy they reversed the legs to give him the hood legs as he should have. I think it's great that the designers are designing molds with remolds in mind from the get-go. And it makes sense with these two, yes there are differences between G1 Tracks and G1 Wheeljack but as far as their bot modes go, other than the top of the hood being the front of the legs for WJ and the back for Tracks, they share a similar body configuration, so it makes (to me at least) to design the figure right from the beginning to share a mold. I think they've pulled it off very well with these two figures.

Rumble also looks great and I'm curious to see more pics with Frenzy and how they are supposed to interact (if they actually are supposed to). But I think they've gotten very close to his G1 look while updated his/their alt mode for a more modern interpretation.

Yeah, I noticed that too. It's a great idea and I think once I have both, I'll be stealing Tracks' gun and giving it to Wheejack so he can have two shoulder cannons... I just really hope they are both the same colour. It also looks like Tracks' shoulder cannons are used as tools for Wheeljack (he's just holding the end of the cannon barrel).

No kidding. It's almost like they got together and said "okay, f*ck it, let's just hammer out all of the remaining G1 characters now and get it done with before we go into TF3 movie mode full time again". Either that or a rabid G1 fanboy managed to infiltrate Hasbro and completely take over Either way, I'm sure not arguing with it.

Both are an easy BUY for me.

I actually appreciate the clever re-use of a mold like for Sunstreaker/Sideswipe. I don't mind buying the same mold twice if the retool is so good that it makes the toy look almost completely different.

I know that Hasbro is going to save money where it can, and the idea of designing a toy right from the start to be used for two characters makes a lot of sense. As long as they keep doing it the Sunstreaker/Sidewipe way (and this looks like it is in the same vein), I'll buy repaints.
