Thanks for the replies in regards to my customs question. I had a small item shipped from Japan by EMS, early February. Took 1.5 months before it got through customs! So I was wondering if there was a general delay with all mail, or just specific ones, as I've been waiting for two items to arrive from China, both with tracking numbers starting with "R".

Sneaky PayPal switched my exchange conversion preference back to using their own rates without any say from my end.

Luckily I've looked up the exchange rate before I press the "pay now" or whatever button, saving me about 5 bucks.

Out of curiosity, has anybody heard whether or not TRU Canada will actually be getting/stocking the Platinum Chaos on Velocitron set? Or do I have to order it from the States somehow? I know there's been few Platinum sets we didn't get on this side of the border so I'm curious...

Wow, A3U is opening a Canadian site with CAD pricing? And dropping the in-store pickup fee? About time. I might actually be interested in preordering from them now.

Edit: Of course, all the good stuff is sold out, TR-wise. Oh well, it's a step in the right direction.

Hey guys, when trading transformers non-locally. Who ships first? How do you make sure you're not getting burned regarding what they send you?

The only time I did a trade, I shipped 1st but only because I was new to the boards and he had like 20 pages of positive feedback. Maybe at the same time if you feel the other party is trustworthy?

trading transformers non-locally is tough. no protection really because once the item is mailed its mailed.
