Re: GMfan101 Repaints/Customs

You really need to get on that Metroplex project, no one has yet to do a repaint like that.

I wouldn't mind getting a second of him and Energon Omega Supreme to do G1 paintjobs and keep an original for comparison...

I'd still like to see a pic of him as a RamjetAlt mode; never seen a red 1, it might look really nice.

Don't worry, if people say "That doesn't look like a Thrust plane!",
I'll be ready to pounce with a

Re: GMfan101 Repaints/Customs

Gonna work on getting Thrust transforming properly tonight, in the mean time I just updated the page.

I took a break on painting the ice cream twins to share the fact that they actually have rust spots molded on to them and how easy it is to add yourself. Use the vehicle mode pics as paint maps if you want to give it a whirl.

Very nice stuff, GMfan! I did the same Beachcomber you did (but I also painted his right hand gold), so I guess great minds think alike.
I really love that Grandus custom! At first I thought it was going to be Raiden, but Grandus is a great idea.

I'd love to get an Energon Omega Supreme to make into a Classics version of Overlord.

Alt modes added for the seekers....I tried to open up the legs on Thrust but one screw would not budge on one leg and is now stripped... but whatever...he can now STOVL by bending his hip :P

Thanks again for checking them out, touched up Vector a little more but dunno if its worth reposting...and Otis you and I just have and urge for new cityformers

Thanks!! Thrust's paint job looks great in Alt mode.

p.s. what does STOVL mean? (I was confusing it with VTOL, sorry )

Re: GMfan101 Repaints/Customs

VTOL = vertical take off/landing
STOVL= short take off & vertical landing

Slightly different...both can land vertically, the STOVL requires a little distance before it can take off. Technically the harrier is a STOVL craft but is classified as a VTOL which is true if it's not fully loaded but when armed requires a short distance to take off due to the extra weight. Same applied for the F-35 (ROTF Breakaway) but at least that is classified as a STOVL craft...
