TF Collecting tendencies

Ok, well to start Transformers figures are the only thing I collect, no other TF stuff and no other toys.
I'm mainly into:

G1:
priority to combiners (I think I want 2 of each) and original 2 years' cars and jets. Least priority to any non-combiner stuff from the last year, a la headmasters and targetmasters and ones that are only rare cuz they came out right at the end.

Classics:
I've gone after everything from the classics line

Cybertron:
Bought what I liked out of this line, which was only about 1/4 of it.

Alternators:
I've only gotten and only wanted to get a select few of these guys.

Beast Wars:
These to me are often underrated figures and I pick them up cheap as they come (some big lots for really cheap)

Everything else:
Screw it. I really don't like Armada or Energon or RID or G2, though I have a select few from each.

I really only collect figures that appeal to me or have the name "Optimus Prime", "Starscream", or "Soundwave". I did collect most of the Energon figures (minus the repaints), and I've got a ton of Cruellock figures.

Well, I tend to collect specific characters and certain heirarchy positions in various series, but I do have other stuff in my collection.

Second in Command
- Ultra Magnus
- Shockwave / Shockblast
- Rhinox / Tankor / Tank Drone

Autobot / Maximal Chosen
- Hot Rod / Rodimus
- Hot Shot / Bumblebee (the 2k7 movie Bumblebee is more or less a renamed Hot Shot)
- Cheetor

Decepticon / Predacon Chosen
- Starscream
- Sideways (okay, he's more like Unicron's Chosen)
- Waspinator / Thrust / Motorcycle Drone

Other
- Any that can combine with others in my collection
(e.g. Cybertron Wing Saber, Energon Omega Supreme, Energon Deluxe Powerlinking doesn't count)

- Characters that deeply resemble others I collect
(e.g. Cybertron Armorhide looks much like an Ultra Magnus character)

- Historically significant characters
(e.g. Primus, Unicron, Vector Prime, The Fallen, Orion Pax, etc.)

- Minicons (In a week or two I should have one of every minicon sculpt ever released, including McDonalds)

- Historically significant items
(e.g. Matrix of Leadership, Golden Discs, etc.)

- Prime / Megatron sculpts
(e.g. Scourge, Nemesis Prime, Armada Predacon, etc. Sometimes sculpts of others in my collection)

G1s - Have from childhood and if I come across any cheap on ebay, I'll grab.

Beast Wars - What got me back into TFs, bought 95% of the toys (missing Terrorsaur, Scorponok & Rattrap)

Beast Wars Transmetals - Got em all (show characters only)

Beast Machines - Got all except "Coke can" Megs, Savage/Noble & Megahead

RiD - Bought 3 autobot brothers & Firetruck Optimus, but stopped since I thought the show sucked.

TFTM'07 - This is where my focus is right now.

Bootlegs - Mostly of gestalts and other G1 toys. I have a wierd fascination with bootlegs..don't even ask!

I prefer buying toys of the characters I see on the show and skipping the 'filler' toys.

i'm surprised you didnt pick up ultra magnus anyways. the combined mode is pretty sweet regarless of the show. even if the combined mode is a bit unstable.

Absolutely nothing I could point to as "priority", except maybe one for missile boxes, bazookas, or long rifles.

I wonder if my subconscious is trying to tell me something.

I mostly collect Prime, Megatron, Starscream, Unicron, Rodimus/Hot Rod, Soundwave, Alternators, combiners, cars, supreme class, G1.

I pretty much buy everything Transformers except for the little and non-mainline stuff like Titaniums, LoC, mini-con packs, etc.... and oddities in general.

I'm also into everything from G1 right through till today.

I pretty much collect anything that transforms after G1. My favourites would have to be characters that are homages to the G1s because I love the G1 story and its characters personalities but I hated the overall stiffness, inaccurate, and fragile nature of the G1 toys. At least with the new stuff if it breaks (rarely does) its not hard to replace it. Only ones I don't collect would be LoC, Attackix, and 3'' Titanium. My favourite would have to be Ultra Magnus which I finally accuired (170 figures later) in the RID form which I may customize if I can get a second one to add some more light blue and red on him.

I focus on the characters I like. I'm interested in the rare pieces/JPN exclusives as well, but if a character doesn't interest me, forget it. And I pretty much focus on G1, Alt/BT and MPs only.

G1 - Autobot cars (especially those that won't be reissued) , Soundwave, the combiners.

Alts/BT - I have some, but I hate how it's become repaint city. And IMO Sunstreaker/Sideswipe as Vipers is wrong to me. Same with Meister being an RX-8 (although I'm starting to change my mind)

MP - I only have 1 MP so far, but my ideal lineup would be the entire 1984-1986 cast done MP style.
