I know I'll probably be hunting for a long time, and probably pay out the nose for it. So I'm in no rush.

That would do nicely. Although I'd prefer if the cover was complete. Then again, I just LOVE the visible gears.

Re: Collecting Watches
Timex Expedition, Timex Ironman Road Trainer and some fancier silvery watch I don't even know the name of. I even have a cheap watch that doesn't work anymore that I sometimes still wear just because it looks cool. But I'm not a watch guy, I've been watchless for years, I usually only wear them when I train.

Re: Collecting Watches
I wasn't a watch person until someone gifted me with an Omega Speedmaster (first watch), I gave that watch to someone in my life who cherishes it with sentimental value.
I currently own: (All under $400)
Elini Spirit Quartz (Casual events)
Haurex Maestro Automatic (Work/Formal events)
4 G-Shock (Casual/Vacation)
Emporio Armani Chronograph (Work)
For those saying you have a cell phone for time management, a watch adds a little flair to a man's wardrobe (trust me people notice or just want to rob you). I get lots of compliments and random people asking about my watches. It sounds superficial with my statement but I love how watches are designed/engineered, the main reason why I buy them.
