Botbots Wave 5 Single Packs Released in Canada

At a Toys”R”Us in Manitoba Wave 5 of the blind boxed Botbots were sighted this week. Botbots like Bratworst, Yard Guard and Jet Setter plus many others are available in this wave.

Wave 2 blindbag singles were a blip on the radar in Ottawa
I managed to net a couple I was after

I saw some 3rd wave 5&8-packs at TRUs, but now they all went belly-up

WM seems to have stopped carrying BotBots entirely?

As far as I can tell Walmart is 100% done with Botbots in store. Online the just added the gumball and crane set.

TRU distribution is all over the place. I've seen series 3 and 4 5-packs. No 8 packs at all. I haven't seen any blind boxes since series 1 either.

I don't mean to be an ass but this way of selling product is hot garbage. It makes it almost impossible to buy online as you don't know which pack you are going to get.

My kids and I love to play with them but it's a hard line to collect, they are just too hard to get your hands on.

I don't get companies/stores that have people waiting to spend money and the product just isn't there.

The biggest issue with botbots (and to a lesser extent the regular transformers lines) is the first wave of a line is usually SOOOOO over represented in the stores and it makes it hard to find anything past that. Does it really make sense to find wave 1 Botbots lining every shelf considering they came out 1.5 years ago?

Wave 1 toys sell X amount but every store seems to order enough wave 1 to for XXXX amount of sales.

Frustrating.

Amazon and superstore helped me fill most of wave 2 and 3 before tru got wave 2 in. Although I have yet to see the single packs for wave 3.

Yeah, I bailed on this line after Series 2 because there was virtually no distribution of Series 3 and up in my area. Just not worth the effort.

These are so hard to find here in Canada with the poor distribution. I only found 1 set of series 4 five pack figures last week at TRU when it reopened. I have only seen series 1 & 2 in Windsor Ontario before that.

Amazon was the only place I found Series 3 and 4. Got some 5 packs of Series 5 as well.

Re: Botbots Wave 5 Single Packs Released in Canada

Purely from experience, this is my reading of the horrible Hasbro distribution error: It is purely on the same barcode being used for every sized item. WM computers list 24-48 of Wave 1. Months later same thing. They clearance them for $1. Wave 2 arrives. Same barcode. WM computers 24-48 of Wave 1. Clearance them again. Even if they sold a bunch, they've done poorly. They don't order more.

Series 2 green singles have been clogging the Superstore shelves around here since last year. Rarely on-sale. If you are out East without S2, perhaps reach-out to someone?

Others have already mentioned solid facts such as Series 3 singles never appeared up here and the 5 and 8 packs.

Series 5 popped-up only at 1 TRU here so far and getting the required items from TF Wiki may be near impossible unless more stores update.
