Transformers series question

I am looking to align my collection, and wanted to ask about a series.

Do you think the Classics, Generations, Reveal The Shield and Hunt For The Decepticons series are part of the same "set"?

They seem to be the same scale and even have repaints between them... so it seems to make sense that they would fit together as a collection.

What do you all think?

Re: Transformers series question

Yes they are considered part of the group. I always thought when people say CHUG I think of classics, hunt for, universe, and generations. They are more of the classic feel for tfs in my opinion.

Re: Transformers series question

I thought the "H" stood for Henkei. But the HFTD line really is closer to CHUG than the movieverse figures.

Re: Transformers series question

Some of the HFTD are Classics remold/repaints and some of them are real movie figures. Reveal the Shield is much the same and I think might be considered an extension of the [u]C[/i] Classics.

Otherwise CHUG is:
Classics
Henkei
Universe
Generations

Ah I always just bunch classics/henkei together to begin with.

Re: Transformers series question

Ahh.. forgot about the CHUG designation.

Looking at the catalog, it looks like HFTD is more an extension of the movie line, but it does mix things up.

Isn't Henkei just the Japanese version of Hasbro releases? Granted they do have some figures that are Japan-only releases.

Also, I don't really feel the Universe line is the same "set" as the Classics/Generations/RTS line. But that's just me... Will have to take another look at the catalog to get a better feel for this line..

Thanks for the comments.

Re: Transformers series question

Some of the HftD toys are alright... I've got Highbrow and Tomahawk and I absolutely love their Alt modes. I'm not crazy about Highbrows head sculpt but he is still a great bot.

I've got Universe Inferno and he displays well with Generations toys. Reveal the Shield toys also fall into this aesthetic.

Re: Transformers series question

I think it's really up to every collector's individual interpretation of what they want to display together. I display my FOC toys with all my CHUG stuff as well for an example.

Again, it's up to your own discretion. I think the Universe 2.0 line is very much a continuation of the Classics line. The original Universe line, not so much.
