Re: What is your Transformers Budget?

See for me, the bolded part is pretty much my budget right now, as well as money that I get for my birthday or whatever. In my mind, this is my disposable income, and since I don't really spend anything on yugioh other than 5 bucks a week for tournament entry (which really is the only other non essential that I spend money on), I'm not really dipping into my saving to fuel my crack habit. It's like cool, I made 30 bucks selling some shit, so now I'll spend that on other figures & its like I haven't spent anything at all.

Plus, the majority of what I get is on sale or at really good prices anyway, so at least I'm in the positive that way. Actually, I haven't paid full price on a transformer (well, a transformer that I was bought for myself anyway) since I picked up Bombshock & ROTF Mixmaster at Zellers, and those were bought when I was just getting back into collecting & didn't really know enough about shit to bide my time better.

Also, I still have room for all my shit without having them sit on the floor or pack em in boxes, so I probably haven't gone overboard just yet...

Re: What is your Transformers Budget?

I don't really have a set budget, but I probably spend around $25 to $50 a month

Re: What is your Transformers Budget?

I find my sweet spot for budgeting is around 15 to 20 bucks a week... If I don't spend it? It adds to the pot.... I could afford more but I find in instances where I spend more than that and during stretches where I buy a lot of figures , I don't really enjoy each individual figure. Asking as necessities are paid for, every now and then I'll splurge for whatever the hot new masterpiece is, or like just recently, a limited item like warbot or hercules.... I also find budgeting helps me limit impulse buying of figures I don't REALLY want.

Re: What is your Transformers Budget?

I guess I really should think about this more often,
I normally just buy what I want.
I've got a full time job and I'm not married with kids or anything so I just drop whatever most times.

Fortunately I'm not a completist, but i"d say I average $100/month

Though sometimes I'll do my best to slow myself down when I notice the collection growing rapidly

$1000 a year plus $300-$500 at TFcon. Not enough I’m afraid.

No budget here. I buy what I want when I want. It does seem to go months and months of nothing followed by a big $ drop all at once.
