Re: Calgary Flood.
now that was a long day.
myself and coworkers ended up using our cranes and lift trucks all around town today to help crews pluck people from buildings flooded out downtown to debris turning into dams making water go to areas i've never seen it go before.
there used to be a golf course directly north of peigan trail and deerfoot, now there's just a giant watertrap, meters from spilling right onto deerfoot trail southbound.
glad to be home with family now but i feel for those who have nothing to go back to,
again, ive lived here most of my life and i have never seen anything like this before.we got off lightly back in 05.

Re: Calgary Flood.
This is insane! I never thought I would hear the words "State of Emergency" for Calgary in my lifetime! My work let us out early and I drove right by that Inglewood golf coarse... and it's under water! Just went thru some of the images and man... speechless really. Hope some of the Calgary members are ok.... with the family now as well and we got off lucky this time...

Re: Calgary Flood.
I have a few friends that have been evacuated out of town. My heart goes out to all of you displaced from your homes. Hopefully everyone can get back to their places soon enough.

Re: Calgary Flood.
That was an interesting couple of days. Let's NOT do this again. We lucked out, didn't get any damage. But I have friends in town that lost quit a bit. To my knowledge no one was hurt, thank god.

Re: Calgary Flood.
Wish all those affected a speedy recovery, I know I would not like to be in such a situation.
