Would buying every MP at once be more satisfying?

I am far from wealthy. I have been collecting and it's not a fast process getting everything I would like to have. I have to do a lot of saving and a lot of waiting. But slowly I am collecting a few decent MP's.

I feel quite satisfied this way too. As much as I would love to have it all, I still have a lot to look forward to. Unboxing, shaking my clenched fist behind the mailman's back for not having that one piece I am STILL waiting on to come in, searching out the best deal and making my mind up about who to get and who I want next. I love it.

But if you had a lot of money, would it ruin it? Would buying all of them at once just wreck the whole experience?

I have been collecting mp sinve the mp01 days and because of getting them right when they are released and i mean all of them even repaints. I kind of feel like i did buy them all at once as i dont have alot of time to enjoy them. It seems like a couple years ago i had 2 now i have over 25 so yeah it has been awesome so far and xant wait for the next things to roll out lol

Too much of anything at one time is never good. I learned that a long time ago. What happens when you got every figure? You're going to just have to wait like the rest of us for the next one, and there will be a next one.

I think you get Christmas Morning Syndrome if you buy too many things at once -- that initial rush of excitement at all the new goodies, the feverish unboxings, and then that mild disappointment when there's no more. Still, if I had the money, I'd probably be tempted to go buy everything I've missed out on.

I think it would just kill the thrill of the hunt. Especially if you are playing catch up...half the fun is finding the right item, from the right seller for the right price.

Someone on here made a collection thread and said he purchased pretty much every mp release after MP08 in the last six months. I would ask him (sorry I don't remember who specifically but if you look at the collection thread it should probably be easy to find). Myself it has been a slow burn since mp grimlock was released at tru- he was my gateway drug back into collecting in 2010

To me, each of my MP figures are like a nice bottle of wine. You don't guzzle it. You savour each and every sip.

If I got them all at once, I don't think I would appreciate each one the way I do now.

Not to mention that if you bought them all at one time, how disappointed would you be if three months later they came out with a superior version of the figure they released a couple years before, but you just got it when you bought the whole lot?

Timing is everything with MP figures.
