Re: Article about 1986 Transformers movie
Thanks, cool read!
I'd heard about the troubles with Orson Welles but didn't know about the splice machine.

Re: Article about 1986 Transformers movie
Good read.
Just a thought while I'm still reading; I love how people say Peter Cullen has been doing Optimus Prime "for decades", when he really hasn't. It was probably 1988 when he did the recording for the giant Optimus puppet for the Optimus/Tommy Kennedy spots, and then maybe a couple commercials. After that it wasn't until probably 2006 when he recorded his lines for Optimus for the 2007 movie.
I love Michael Bell's final statement, that would have been awesome if they had cameo'd in person in the movies, kinda like Stan Lee does. Or, maybe since they're all older now they could have been cast as the military hierarchy.

Ouch! Military would be so insulting to these awesome VA's!
I'd love a scene where someone mentions robotic transforming machines, and old-man Bell walks up and says,
"Transformer-wuuuut???"
