CW Secret Police Ravage (WIP)
I really liked the idea of a Ravage with a vehicle mode, but didn't love the head from the CW Predacus set (nor did I want to shell out for it). As well, I thought that the Prowl/Streetwise police car mold painted as a stealth interceptor would be more appropriate for a Tripredacus agent.
I've had this idea for a while but finally got the knock-off device label Ravage from China so I could start doing the remodelling. So I grabbed the hobby knife and went to town. May be somewhat pre-mature to post but I wanted to document the process for anyone who wants to do a similar project.
This first set shows the disassembled USB stick, the parts I salvaged (head, lower jaw and tail), and a dry fit of the tail with a Prowl figure. I had to cut the head down the centre and shave a bit off from the middle so that it would be narrow enough to fit under the hood. Right now it's held together with stick-tack. I may remodel the head a little bit more so that the eyes angle forward a little bit more. I cut through the body to remove the tail and then whittled down the smaller part so it slots into the back of CW Prowl's pelvis (finally a use for gaps!) and clears the ridge where the 5mm hole is on the roof of the vehicle. Done this way the tail slots in perfectly, is reasonably articulated, and even works for the transformation (where it fits into the groove between the robot shins on the bottom).
That's all for now. Next steps are using epoxy to piece together the head (it seems to fit and allow for transformation) and modelling the tail into the pelvis smoothly (more epoxy and sanding).
