Re: Netflix Soundwave - Stress Marks in Shoulders?

I'll have to take a look at my copy when I get home, but I'm wondering if a little bit of lube in the pin (dark blue area) would help a bit.

Did Siege Soundwave have the same problem as well?

But I can tell you, the worst thing about mine is that Laserbeak won't stay pegged onto SW's arm

Grooves won't grip, I just kind of balance him on there
Sometimes mine grips okay, sometimes it doesn't. If it doesn't after a few tries I just fold the legs up and use the peg.

Re: Netflix Soundwave - Stress Marks in Shoulders?

I've got some relatively light stress marks on my Netflix SW's shoulders in the same place. I do not see any such stress marks on my Siege SW.

Fortunately the stress marks are on a relatively simple part to swap with Siege SW should Netflix SW break there. And Siege SWs are not scarce.

I wonder. I had the og wfc laserbeak and soundblaster before, and he never really stayed there.

I actually fold the feet up and bring the peg out, and peg him into soundwave's forearm.

What kind of lube would work well in this case?

Re: Netflix Soundwave - Stress Marks in Shoulders?

Just checked mine, it does indeed have stress marks in both shoulders

Am I hallucinating when recalling some recovery method for stress marks that involves moisture and/or hairdryers? Like moistening it and heating it up relieves the pressure or something? Someone please correct me

The only thing Ive heard about the dryer method is that it merely hides the stress marks and does not actually fix or strengthen anything.

That’s not to say your method may not work, as Im not familiar with the moisture addition to it.

If anyone else has any feedback about this Id be curious to hear as well.

Re: Netflix Soundwave - Stress Marks in Shoulders?

Seeing this in mine now that I've checked. There seems to be a certain point where the shoulder rolls over a lump in the peg, maybe it's that rollover that causes the plastic to stress?

Same issue on one of my shoulders, but it doesn't seem to break the outer part of it, so I'm not sure how well it'll hold
