Re: Any confirmation on how much guests will charge?
I can't afford much this convention. I had a family tragedy in the family which cause significant delay in getting out of college and finding work - which I have not been able to do. If I go not get that pay from that sweatshop I worked briefly at by Friday morning, I won't have any money to spent at all. :/

I do not agree with a guest coming free then charging a fee on top of that just to earn extra money, but don't have a issue with the guest having to carry themselves and amenities.
And there isn't a guest that is charging that I need to see so, yeah, it doesn't bother me anymore.

every convention that has guest signings that are free, they are still paying the guest's asking price for attending. no guest goes to these shows for free, not even voice actors. convention staff have to go through their managers/agents to book them. but you're right on some things i mean they have to make a living somehow even if its appearances for all us stinky smell nerds, lol.

Wait...is this for walk-ins only or does this also include those of us who already pre-registered?

Well, that sucks. I didn't realize there was a change in policy...hmmmm. Maybe this should have been stated sooner but this completely changes what I'm bringing to the con.
I'm already on a tight budget following Botcon...now added costs for autographs...

I never said guests appear for free in any con or show event.

This has been known for awhile now. It's not a recent development and the cost is reasonable if it's a guest you really like.

I think this has been in discussion since April or something. Though the cost of admission alone never went down, so it must be funding something big.

It doesn't need to be speculated. It was already discussed when it was first announced that Guest were charging. There was a whole thread on it ( http://www.cybertron.ca/boards/showt...t=50678&page=4).
