the tamiya paints work pretty well. my own aversion to fumes results in holding my breath for a 2-3 blast, then running away to breath and returning 5 mins later for another . in the end it works out because a lot of small blasts tend to finish better than one good one. just love the finish of a spray though. only hand paint tiny detail. take some pics as you go if you have time.

Carissa, u ever think about doing commissions? I've got a TFA Voyager SS that desperately needs to be turned into Thundercracker, just no time on my end and I'm not confident in my full repainting abilities (little details and such, I'm ok with but not full on repaints). Also have a TFA Deluxe BBee that really wants to be Wasp.

*pace pace twitch* I am having a hard time allowing the Krylon white coat time to cure before starting to paint. I've friction-assembled one leg and arm to see where I will be applying red paint, what needs to be sanded down some more etc ....
Grah! Waiting until tomorrow to paint might kill me. Also RTS Perceptor is ungodly built. So many fricking little parts and screws. The leg assembly itself is murder. As is the back/torso.

So far as I can tell it's not up on NY yet. Price comparisions right now (not including shipping):
