Re: transformer buddy?
No one except my cousin who grew up with G1 (unlike me, which is more Beast Wars)

This and I got a friend who reads the Transformers comics, so that is sorta something.

Re: transformer buddy?
I don't have anyone in-town that I really meet up for, nor chat with, on a regular basis about TFs, despite living in the same city as the goddamn Protoman.
I have a friend (ex-coworker) that I talk to about Gundams and modeling stuff.
Online-wise, I chat with Dark Rage and cannabisprime on a semi-regular basis about all sorts of toys (TFs, Gundams, Sentai, Kamen Rider, Chogokin, etc)...
And then there's my brother. He doesn't actually collect nor follow any toys, but he's always willing to listen to my opinion/feedback/whatever, and give me his thoughts as well.

Re: transformer buddy?
If we are talking in real life, then it's my lifelong bud Jawz.D/Wendel, we have been talking about TFs since the G2 days. We still hunt/talk about TFs to this day and he also is now a TFcon mainstay (He was Jazz at the script reading)

I have this same problem, despite a good solid # of TF fans in Montreal, I never see them face to face, cept at cons.

Yeah, same with me, despite the fact there are (or have been at some point) about two dozen fans from Hamilton actively posting on these boards (and I've met up and bought from about a half dozen).

Re: transformer buddy?
My girlfriend and I are both really into old 80's cartoons. And we talk about Transformers, H-man, She-Ra and just about everything else geeky and nerdy all the time. The stuff that she's not as familiar with, she'll go out and find out more about it. I love her!
On the flip side, I also have to talk about Jem and the Holograms, Rainbow Brite, and Care Bears all the time too. lol, It's all good.

Re: transformer buddy?
No one here either. I do have one friend who does some casual toy collecting. But he's into the old school G.I. Joe stuff.

Re: transformer buddy?
My wife likes to marvel at my display especially after dusting and when I keep em' untouched. She hates colourful ones that looks too much like a fisher price toy. Calls Cybertron Metroplex's odd weapon a magic wand. She adores my Optimus Prime Collection. Hates repaints more than I do. Loves Binaltech and Masterpiece line. She thinks they are worth the price rather than getting classics line. She prefers Diecast over plastic. She goes toy hunting with me most of the time. She doesn't mind discussing which ones are nice and fugly. She buys most of the expensive ones for me. She bought every part for my custom devastator and discussed proportions during kitbashing. She picks the colours for me since I'm colour blind. lol I ask for her opinion during most of my kitbashes.
