Re: Tf 86 movie: stuff you initially missed

A dead Sideswipe is also in the movie but it's an animation error (it's actually a zoomed-out shot of dead Wheeljack before Arcee moves dead Windcharger beside him).

Gears makes a cameo too, early in the movie.

The scene with Grapple also shows Swoop's leg which makes no sense since he was on moon base 1 with Optimus and the rest of the Dinobots.

Other animation errors include Prowl being coloured as Bluestreak after Hot Rod slams through the barricade. Again, makes no sense since he died on the shuttle.

Also, Shockwave is seen flying over Autobot City but he's also on Cybertron, lol. I also recall Reflector being incorrectly coloured as Ironhide on the same scene.

Still a very enjoyable movie and I can watch the battle on Autobot City a million times and never get tired of it.

I saw it Thursday evening. I noticed little background noises that I never caught on my tv at home. Was a a great experience overall!

Just noticed a female Junkion in the dance scene in the center right side.

Gotta admit, didn't think there'd be anything I hadn't noticed before, but maybe due to the size of the screen, I did pick up a few things here and there. One I remember off the top of my head is the scene where Laserbeak comes to the moon base, when it shows all the assembly line, you can see Swoop and Slag working on the factory floor.

Guys, I spent the early morning looking over all those scenes again.

Yes, even watching them for the millionth time, I found something new. I hope Cineplex adds dates for more showings. Need to watch this film again on big screen with my childhood enthusiasm and old adult brain.

Yeah, good call! I caught that for the first time as well!

Did anyone else have this experience? What did u notice?
Great idea thread!

3 main things for me:

1- When Springer has "better things to do tonight than die", when he launches the rocket at Devastator, Daniel is seen still at the top of the escape ladder.

2- After Daniel learns how to walk, when the Autobots merge outside on Junkion, Daniel is moving unbalanced-ly.

3- on Moon base 1 near the beginning, when Ironhide is looking at the monitor (and talking about doing so), on of the surveillance footage shows Shockwave sitting at a desk/station.

4- this 1 is actually a change in the movie.

in the original theatre showing, tv broadcast, and VHS versions, in Autobot city after Blaster's tapes debut, Blaster walks back to Perceptor, who rubs his head and says "Do you think you got through to Prime?"

At this point, there was an animation cell or 2 which had a black circle blot; probably part of the film cells got burnt.

This new airing did not have that black circle.
They must have edited it. Maybe this was done in the DVD version?

Re: Tf 86 movie: stuff you initially missed

I saw the movie today with my fam jam. Nothing I really missed or was looking for though good eye for the person who caught the female junkion. Hasbro make one please! It was nice they had a "Sneak Peek" of the Bumblebee movie tied to the event and some Stan Bush snippets at the end, I'm sure it's on my Blu Ray edition. Any reports on the attendance at anyone's local theatre? We had 5 other people plus the 3 from my fam for a total of 8. Too bad these events aren't more advertised to give it more energy in the theatre, it was one difference between today and 32 years ago besides being a kid and an adult.
