TF Con Event Schedule

I don't see an issue with the timing.

I think it is great that TFcon offers a Cosplay contest, with prizes no less, and finds a slot for it in the scheduling. It is a great, growing part of the convention.

I think people should be thankful that TFcon gives them a platform to share their love of Transformers cosplaying, contest, no contest, whatever - but thats just me.

I don't think people saying 11am for a cosplay contest is strange counts as being ungrateful.

I think people might find it annoying because alot come from out of town, they might arrive on Saturday, somehow have to get their cosplays on in the rush of time. Especially since the hotel doesn't have check in until 3pm. So they don't have a hotel room.

If they show up on Friday, they would have to eat quickly then get their cosplays on then find a way downstairs. Some of these aren't toss over your head shirts, they are full rigs that have to be connected and what not. Heck my rig is almost 10 pieces. Plus if the cosplay ends up damaged in travels, it needs to be repaired.

I think that is what people are referring to why the early contest would be an issue.

1. TF Con is different for everyone. It may be a 'Toy Show' for some and other's it may just be a 'meet up' con or even just a cosplaying con. It all depends on the individual person so calling it just a 'toy show' may just be right for you but it means something different for someone else.

To be honest, I don't go to TF Con to shop for toys. I get all my releases online and US Side so there's nothing really the Dealers could offer me that I don't already have. I go for friends, to cosplay, artists and the guest so to me its not a 'toy show'.

2. The Contest time doesn't bother me because even as a cosplayer, to the Tf cons I have been to, I never signed up for one cause I don't go for the prizes. I cosplay for fun as its a hobby of mine. I'd like to watch it though and however, just 11 am, is a bad time for me and probably people who aren't up at 6 am or going early to the Dealers room at 9-10am who actually would like to see the cosplays.

I understand why they made it early because alot of people with kids were complaining it was too late in the day so you can't make everyone happy. I'm just sad I'll miss it.

it wouldn't surprise me that if there are to many people in line just to say hello to the V/A and take a long time doing so or not pay to get a sign they may charge a fee to speak to them but I am just assuming things but still seems that if they have to charge a fee to make it worth the time then saying hi for free will only last so long....

The autograph lines will be shorter if one doesn't get in line right at the start. There will not be a single two hour Window each day in which to get signatures, it will be more of an all day thing. So more spread out.

And chatting with the guests will be free, as it still is at larger Con's and Expo's.
